Calling all Centennial teachers

Reunion planned to mark the demolition of old school and new replacement building
Centennial
A reunion is planned for Centennial secondary school teachers while School District 43 awaits completion of construction of a replacement school.

Students have yet to move into the replacement for Centennial secondary school as winter weather slowed construction but teachers are already planning a staff reunion.

The current school will be torn down after the completion of the new facility and to mark the milestone, a reunion is planned for Feb. 24.

Ken Kuhn, who is organizing the event, said he hopes retirees and ex-staff will come to the school at 4:30 p.m. to participate in self-guided tours, with a welcome and greetings to follow at 6 p.m. There is a nominal fee to attend with an RSVP to [email protected].

The new Centennial secondary is budgeted for $61.1 million and includes a neighbourhood learning centre.
