You can celebrate Culture Days at Coquitlam's Glen Pine Pavilion with an open house that explores the fun, entertainment and social interaction in the city's 50-plus multicultural community.

On Friday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 8 p.m., there will be hands-on activities, live music and opportunities to enter into draws for gift baskets by trying out, participating and bringing a friends to the Activity Group Try-its.

Crafters, quilters, painters, artists and other hobbyists will display and demonstrate their talents while the Computer Room will be open for patrons to explore classes offered. You can also go to an orientation at the Alpine Fitness Centre.

Culture Days organizers encourage participants to wear traditional clothing from their home country or any country.

A special dinner and drinks will be available for purchase at the Lemon Tree Café from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Glen Pine Pavilion, a city of Coquitlam recreation facility for people 50 years of age and older, is located at 1200 Glen Pine Crt., between Glen and Burlington drives and next to the Spirit Square.
