Children of the Street Society is hosting a fundraising event at the John B Neighbourhood Pub, 1000 Austin Ave., Thursday, July 7 to raise funds for school-based prevention programs.

Enjoy some good food and the chance to win prizes through a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. Prizes include weekend accommodation and breakfast at The Sutton Place Hotel: Vancouver Opera tickets to West Side Story, as well as retail, salon, and restaurant gift certificates.

Children of the Street Society is a provincial society and federal charity comprised of citizens concerned with the number of children and youth being sexually exploited in British Columbia.

This past school year, the group facilitated 110 workshops with over 3,000 children and youth in School District 43 on topics such as prevention of sexual exploitation, social media and healthy relationships.

The pub night will take place on Thursday July 7th from 6-9 p.m. This is a 19+ event and tickets are $20, which includes a drink, and a burger and fries (beef, chicken or veggie).
