Commuters heading to Barnet Highway via Clarke Road in Port Moody should be prepared for delays starting Monday and running through September.
That's when the city will begin construction work, with crews on site between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times, according to a city press release, which also says no closures or detours are planned, and "areas of work will be adjusted to accommodate rush hour traffic."
The work includes rehabilitation of the existing road surface and installation of municipal utilities such as storm drainage, water main improvements and street lighting. The project will also include safety improvements such as improved road alignment, installation of concrete barriers, new sidewalks, signage, and lane marking upgrades.
