The Coquitlam Foundation is looking for individuals to serve as board members or committee volunteers.
Specifically, the charitable group is seeking a lawyer who resides in Coquitlam along with candidates with experience with non-profit boards and ties to the local business community.
The foundation works with donors to build and grow endowment funds to support community projects and local students in need. It manages $2.8 million in funds.
Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month and chair Janet Toddington says, “Our directors are members of a working board. Members are directly involved with operational tasks.”
If you think you can help, send letters of interest and a resume to Toddington at [email protected] no later than May 11.
The foundation’s annual awards night takes place June 9 at the Evergreen Cultural Centre, 1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam and the public is invited to attend.
