This Friday, School District 43 elementary and middle school students will be taking part in an international attempt to set a world record for the largest practical science lesson.

During the 30 minute lesson, students will be taking part learning about the Bernoulli principle and doing two experiments. In one, they'll create a water mister using a glass of water and two straws, in another, they'll make two balloons touch each other by blowing a steady stream of air.

The goal is to get students involved in science and to teach them about fluid dynamics during National Science and Technology Week.

Local schools participating are Citadel, Hillcrest, Moody, PItt River, Scott Creek middle schools and Harbourview elementary.

The lesson is supposed to take place at 10 a.m.
