Find out where they live, how they hunt and how they adapt to urban areas. Participants, who will conclude the evening with a spine-tingling coyote howl, should wear clothing suitable to the weather and bring a flashlight. This program, co-sponsored by Coquitlam Parks, Recreation and Culture Services, is for people six years of age and older (children must be accompanied by an adult). Sunday, Sept. 22, Belcarra Regional Park, Port Moody: Salamanders spend their early life in the water and adulthood in the forest; they hide by day under leaf litter and hunt by night for insects. Participants in this program can search for salamanders from 10 a.m. to noon and find out more about these shy and secretive amphibians. This program is for people six years of age and older (children must be accompanied by an adult). Cost is $8 per person for adults, $4.25 for children, youths and seniors.
