Community Volunteer Services for Seniors regularly helps the Tri-Cities' oldest citizens and now you can help, too. CVSS's annual fundraising garage, book and bake sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 16 at Wilson Centre, 2150 Wilson Ave.

Community Volunteer Services for Seniors regularly helps the Tri-Cities' oldest citizens and now you can help, too.

CVSS's annual fundraising garage, book and bake sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 16 at Wilson Centre, 2150 Wilson Ave., Port Coquitlam. The sale will run indoors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Members of the public can help by shopping at the sale and/or by contributing items to be sold. All donations can be dropped off at Wilson Centre on Friday, June 15 between 3 and 6:30 p.m.

CVSS will accept furniture in good repair and clean condition as well as housewares, antiques, books, tools, electronics, plants, children's items and more. It will not accept clothing, footwear, bedding, exercise equipment or encyclopedias.

Proceeds from this sale go towards supporting Community Volunteer Services for Seniors programs. CVSS has close to 200 volunteers who provide a shop-by-phone grocery program, visiting program, and telephone reassurance program to homebound, isolated seniors living in the Tri-Cities.
