Donations-matching campaign to "Feed our Kids" launched

An online service provider is helping Share Family and Community Services and School District 43 feed hungry kids - and it's time for the community to chip in, too.

An online service provider is helping Share Family and Community Services and School District 43 feed hungry kids - and it's time for the community to chip in, too.

SD43 has contributed $5,000 toward a program to put an extra $15, $20 or $25 grocery gift card in food bank hampers for families with preschoolers and school-aged children who would normally have benefited from breakfast or lunch programs but lost out during the three-week teachers' strike. Share is hoping the community will help raise another $5,000 for the program and has registered its campaign with Chimp.net, which will match all donations until their campaign ends.
