Life as a Journey - Estate and Financial Planning is the third free education session in the Life as a Journey series hosted by Douglas College Foundation and Wildlife Rescue Association (WRA), and is set for Saturday, April 12.

The April 18 session features presenters Jason Jacubec of Lawyerswest LLP, a Coquitlam law firm, and Sean Jamieson, a senior consultant with Investment Group Financial Services.

Jacubec plans to discuss changes to the Wills, Estate and Succession Act that come into effect March 31 while Jamieson will offer insights into financial planning utilizing vehicles such as life insurance. As well, Scott Schindel, vice-president sales with Mackenzie Financial Services, will discuss the role philanthropy plays throughout one's life.

Life as a Journey - Estate and Financial Planning, sponsored by The Tri-City News, is set for Saturday, April 12 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the boardroom at Douglas College, 1250 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam. Admission is free but registration is required by calling WRA at 604-526-2747.
