And you can visit Port Moody Public Library on Monday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. to learn how to create a plan to distribute assets, during life or upon death.

Participants in the estate planning workshop will gain a better knowledge of what estate planning is and why it is needed; understand the process; and become familiar with the various tools for estate planning, such as power of attorney, wills, joint accounts, gifting, trust and life insurance.

The program is facilitated by Bark Kong. Kong has an extensive background in business planning and financial reporting in the health care sector and public accounting. He is a partner with Charlton and Company, Chartered Accountants, where he provides auditing, accounting and income tax services to public and private companies and not for profit organizations.
