Four Port Coquitlam students were picked this week to be part of the 93rd annual May Day royal party.
Vincent Fan was named record bearer while Gavin Yang was selected as ambassador. Raychal Brown will be the May Queen with Danielle Bradshaw as her first princess.
The four will be in the May Day banquet and opening ceremonies on April 29 as well as on the city float for the May Day parade on May 7.
The party was chosen randomly at a tea on Tuesday.
The May Day tradition dates back to 1923 when the city crown its first May Queen, Evelyn Mars — a descendant of PoCo pioneer Donald McLean.
