You can get one-on-one help from teen volunteers this summer at Port Moody Public Library.

Drop in to PMPL's Parklane room any Thursday between 2:30 and 4 p.m. from July 5 to Aug. 23 and teen volunteers will be available to help adults with the following technology basics:

free email services (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail);

attachments (download, upload and save);

saving and creating files, and organizing folders;

flash drives;

filling out online forms;

e-book readers and e-books;

social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube);

smart phones and texting;

Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

This is a great opportunity to get help with computer and technology questions in a safe and comfortable environment. Patient volunteers can walk you through your questions step by step.

Participants are welcome to bring their own devices or use the library's laptop computers. Just drop in during the program hours; no registration is required.

Port Moody Public Library is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
