Volunteers are needed at the Noons Creek Hatchery for several projects over the coming months.
On Monday, July 18 and Tuesday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.volunteers will help with fin clipping. This is an ideal youth / student activity and participants can get a record of hours upon request.
This is also a weather dependent activity - if it's too hot, fin clipping won't take place. To make sure, please call the hatchery on 604-469-9106.
Volunteers are also needed for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Sept. 10 from 9- 11 a.m..Register at http://shorelinecleanup.ca/en/search/cleanups. (Noons Creek from shoreline to Old Mill).
As well, volunteers are always needed for other work. Feel free to drop by on Saturdays at any time between 9-11 a.m. Wear clothes that can get dirty.
