Families and children can explore outdoor play and literacy during the Tri-Cities Healthy Kids Fair this Thursday in Port Moody.

The event, sponsored by the Tri-Cities ECD Community Development committee, will have information, displays, storytime, pre-school yoga and many other events for kids and their caregivers.

Outdoor play will be the theme. Interpretation will also be available for families whose first languages are Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Farsi.

There will be more than 30 interactive displays, a fire truck from Port Moody Fire and Rescue, a police cruiser from Port Moody Police and snacks catered by School District 43 culinary arts students. All the activities and information will be targeted to children from birth to age six and their families.

Admission is free and donations of non-perishable items are being accepted for the food bank. There will be no presenters selling goods or services.

The Healthy Kids Fair will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Port Moody rec complex, 300 Ioco Rd.
