Realtors Jill Oudil, president of the Burnaby/New Westminster/Tri-City division of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, Ray Harris, REBGV vice-president, and Josh Bath were among the "arrestees" who had to use their contacts to call for help - and cash - from a mock jail cell set up at Coquitlam Centre mall on Wednesday as part of the Cops for Cancer fundraiser.

Other "lock ups" for the day included Derek Passaglia, principal of Glen elementary; Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart and Coun. Selina Robinson; and Al Boire, executive director of Place Maillardville Community Centre.

Organized by paramedic and Port Coquitlam resident Bob Lee, the annual Jail and Bail day collected about $15,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society through the "Awesome Foursome" - made up of Coquitlam RCMP's Jen Goodings, Matt Berinbaum, Danick Nolet and Michael Murray - who are taking part in the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast later this year.
