Join in an old-fashioned fall family fair when the Port Moody Heritage Society hosts its 13th annual Ioco Ghost Town Day this Sunday, Oct. 5.
The event running from noon until 4 p.m. at the old Ioco town site at the corner of Ioco Rd. and First Ave. in PoMo celebrates the rich Ioco townsite history.
Among the activities will be a 'Race for History," entertainment, a best dressed pet parade, the crowning of a festival prince and princess, plus pony rides, an antique Model A car show and plenty of family games and activities.
The Kinsmen are assisting this year with a concession on wheels. The Ioco United Church is providing tours throughout the event and this year there will be a 'Pop-Up' museum that further celebrates the history of the Town site with displays and artifacts.
