Andrea Lyons helps her four-year-old daughter Paige try on a helmet at the KidSport Tri-Cities used sporting goods sale Saturday at the Poirier Sports and Leisure Complex in Coquitlam.
KidSport executive director Chris Wilson said the event was "our most successful sale to date," raising more than $20,000 to help 88 less-fortunate kids get into sports.
More than 1,300 people attended the Coquitlam sale - and 500 of them came through the doors in the first 10 minutes, Wilson said.
As well, six boxes of non-perishable goods were collected for the Share food bank.
The next KidSport sale is set for February or March 2014.
