Teens and young women vying for a chance to show off their beauty and talent on a national stage can audition at Coquitlam Centre mall next week.
Miss World Canada is holding auditions Saturday, Jan. 29 for females aged 16 to 24 in the upper level of the mall, between Jacob and The Gap, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Participants can fill out an application form on site or download it from www.missworldcanada.org and are asked to supply a recent photo and a one-paragraph letter explaining the reasons for entering and how they intend to work with Variety - The Children's Charity, in the lead-up to the pageant.
The audition involves a photo shoot, a stroll down the catwalk and a 20-second speech about fundraising ideas for the charity.
The 2011 pageant will take place May 16 to 19 at the River Rock Casino in Richmond.
