Baby's First 2 Years is a free drop-in program for expectant parents as well as parents, grandparents and/or guardians and their children from newborns to 24 months.
This program is a great opportunity to learn from guest speakers and to enjoy support, conversation and validation in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Baby's First 2 Years takes place on Fridays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Heritage Room at Place Maillardville Community Centre, 1200 Cartier Ave. in Coquitlam.
The fall 2013 roster of guest speakers boasts a variety of community partners who provide their services for free, including:
Sept. 27: Speaker: Lara Leontowich, personal trainer; topic: Salsa Babies and Stroller Fit;
Oct. 4: Speaker: Annie Anderson, infant sleep consultant; topic: sleep;
Oct. 11: Speaker: Lindsey Daudelin, infant development consultant, SFSCL; topic: infant development;
Oct. 18: Speaker: Mardi Hassell, mortgage specialist; topic: ABC's of mortgages.
