Big crowds turned out under sunny skies for the annual Canada Day celebrations in Port Coquitlam.
The day started with the Lions Club pancake breakfast at Lions Park and continued at Castle Park in Citadel Heights, where there was birthday cake, entertainment and the PoCo firefighters’ big salmon barbecue.
The day wrapped up with a display of fireworks to celebrate the nation’s 150th birthday.
