Baby's First Year, at Coquitlam's Place Maillardville community centre, is designed for expectant parents as well as parents, grandparents and/or guardians and their babies up to 12 months of age.
This is a free, drop-in program - no need to register - and is made possible through the support of the United Way of the Lower Mainland and the B.C. Ministry for Children and Family Development.
The spring 2012 roster of guest speakers includes a variety of community partners; the remaining sessions include:
June 1 - Mardi Hassell, mortgage specialist, on the ABCs of mortgages;
June 8 - Rachael Pankratz, Port Moody Travel, on travelling with babies;
June 15 - Coquitlam Public Library storytime with babies;
June 22 - Carle Proskin, Melaleuca, on how safe is your home?
