Want to know where the local waiting pool is or the closest community centre?

Parents can find out about resources closest to their neighborhoods in a new interactive community mapped developed by the The Tri-Cities Early Childhood Development Committee and the Tri-Cities Literacy Committee.

The Interactive Tri-Cities Community Resource Map is now online on the Tri-Cities ECD Committee website at www.tricitiesecd.ca under Resources.

Funded by the two local committees, the map provides information about resources for literacy programs in the Tri-Cities and information about programs and services for families with children under 6 years of age.

It builds on the paper Tri-Cities Community Resource Map that was developed in 2012, and allows the user to hover over an icon on the map and then see the physical address and contact information. Each resource also has a link to the organization's website.

The purpose of developing this resource is to connect consumers with programs and services that they might not have been aware of.

For more information please contact the Tri-Cities Literacy Committee at [email protected] or the Tri-Cities ECD Committee at [email protected]. Some English copies of the paper resource are still available for distribution.
