Port Moody's long-awaited new firehall is about to open and the city is holding a party.
The Inlet Centre Firehall grand opening is this Saturday, Feb. 1 at the new building at 150 Newport Drive. It runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features music by the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps GRILSE, tours, fire prevention displays, a blessing and public art unveiling and a free barbecue and cake. There will also be an auto extrication demo, rope rescue demo and a live fire demo.
