Port Moody Foundation delivers cash

A group that looks out for young people. A ranch that hosts kids with special needs. A society that delivers meals to those who need them. These are among the recipients of the Port Moody Foundation's 2013 grants.

These are among the recipients of the Port Moody Foundation's 2013 grants.

A grant award of $1,000 went to Children of the Street Society for its Taking Care of others, Taking care of Ourselves program. The grant will be used to deliver workshops in Port Moody that reach more than 450 children.

The Zajac Ranch Society received $1,600, which will allow three PoMo children with medical needs to attend the Zajac Ranch Camp at Stave Lake.

The third grant recipient was the Port Moody Farmers Market in partnership with the Port Moody Police Department's Green Team; $1,500 was awarded to help fund the garden shed and shared-use garden equipment for the PMPD Community Garden.

A grant of $900 was also awarded to PoCoMo Meals on Wheels Society.
