Port Moody library adds Sony e-reader

Libraries aren't just about books anymore. Throughout the Tri-Cities, libraries have long loaned CDs and DVDs, and more recently have branched out into e-readers.

As Port Moody Public Library, the new Sony Reader Wi-Fi has arrived so PMPL card holders will now have a choice of two different types of e-reader to borrow - for free.

"The library has been successfully lending Kobo e-readers since October," said adult services librarian Barbara Buxton. "People love them, so we are extending the service with 10 more readers."

The e-readers come loaded with more than 80 titles ready to read and free books can be downloaded directly from the BC Libraries Library-to-Go website to the Sony e-reader. Loan periods are three weeks for both Sony and Kobo readers.
