The City of Port Moody, and the Port Moody Public Library want visitors to their websites to have a good experience. So they’re asking them to suggest improvements.

Both the City and the library are conducting online surveys to gather feedback about their current sites (www.portmoody.ca and www.library.portmoody.ca), what users like about them, what they don’t like and how they can be improved. The surveys are available at www.portmoody.ca/betterweb until June 5.

Responses to the surveys will be analyzed, compared with industry best practices and then used to inform future updates of the sites.

Keeping kids active this summer

The City of Port Moody is making it affordable for families to keep their kids active this summer.

Passes for unlimited access to drop-in programs at all of the city’s recreation facilities from June 19-Sept. 4 are now available. Each pass costs $20 and is available for children and youth up to 18 years-old.

The passes will give them unlimited swimming at Rocky Point and Westhill outdoor pools as well as fitness classes, jungle gym, gymnastics, family badminton, floor hockey and even break dancing. Youth aged 16-18 years will have access to all drop-in fitness classes as well as to the weight room while youth aged 13-15 years can use the weight room during special teen fitness times provided they completed an orientation program.

Last year the city sold 1,098 of the summer passes.

Passes can be purchased at the Port Moody Recreation Complex at 300 Ioco Rd., and the pass holder must be present so they can have their photo taken.
