On Saturday, May 2, Port Moody Public Library will be presenting a full day of events focused on local authors and publishing options for new and aspiring writers.
Participants will hear from publishing, editing and genre experts at a morning panel discussion, then drop in for writing workshops presented by industry insiders. All events are free, though registration is required.
If you're dropping in for PMPL's Get Published event, check out the Author's Central area. From noon to 2 p.m., the library will spotlight some excellent local authors who have a vast range of writing specialties and publishing expertise. Authors will be on hand to answer questions about their work, and to pass on their most important tips and inspiration for writing success. Drop in with questions about getting started with your manuscript, or just browse to meet your next favourite Canadian book.

Registration is required for the free panel discussion and workshops but the Author's Central spotlight is drop-in and open to the public.
