Starting next Thursday, Nov. 17, kids in Grades 4 to 7 are invited to join a book club at Port Moody Public Library whose members read and discuss some great Canadian fiction and non-fiction books that have been nominated to receive the BC Red Cedar Award.
Kid club members will read at least five books from the nominated list and vote for their favourites after some discussion and activities.
Kids in the book club will develop a love of books by reading and evaluating quality Canadian literature. The group will meet most alternate Thursdays from Nov. 17 to May 2012. A complete schedule of meeting dates will be provided at registration.
