TAG DAYS
Air cadet corporals Kennedy and Han of Port Moody's Phoenix 754 squadron were busy promoting the organization outside of a 7-Eleven during Tag Days last week.
Money raised from the campaign will be used to pay for air cadet activities such as gliding, flying and First Aid training. Visit 754aircadets.ca for information on the group.

Port Moody's Daniel Dian got a rare meet and greet with Stephen Harper this month as part of his research project about Canadian politics.
The 11-year-old Grade 6 student at Scott Creek middle school in Coquitlam spoke with the prime minister after requesting a meeting through Industry Minister (and Tri-City MP) James Moore.

The foundation for the Royal Columbian Hospital, which serves the Tri-Cities, this month took in a $20,000 cheque from RBC toward a new electrocardiogram cart.
The cart will mean a faster diagnosis and treatment for patients in the Fraser Health region.
THEATRE AWARD
Coquitlam's Ted Eddy, president of the Raymond Burr Performing Arts Society, presented Frances-Jane van Wyck (a Douglas College theatre student) with this year's award of distinction.

GOLD AT 20
A Coquitlam company celebrating its 20th year in business has won an industry gold award.
This month, Dynamic Productions on Fawcett Road, in the Pacific Reach Business Park, took the top prize at the annual MARCE Awards competition at the On Hold Message Association Convention in Orlando, Fl.
The event showcases the Telehold messages entered by On-Hold companies around the world. Its submission for client Tonmar Janitorial featured parodies of police shows with the protagonist operating as a GSI, a "Grime Scene Investigator." It took 90 out of a possible 100 marks.
Last year, Dynamic earned the silver accolade at the convention.
