SPOTLIGHT: Heritage, Queen of All Saints give

An annual high tea for seniors at Port Moody's Heritage Woods secondary drew nearly 100 participants - and Santa Claus. The Dec. 6 community Christmas event was organized by Rachel Leung, Rebecca Lee, Jaimie Jeon and Cathy Zhang. The afternoon festivities also included a Nutcracker dance performance and sing-alongs with the school choir.

HOCKEY WIN

The Heritage Cup will stay on the secondary's soil after the Heritage Woods' Kodiaks beat the Port Moody Police Department in the semi-annual hockey game last Friday. The fundraising event for charity that saw the Kodiaks win 7-3 over PMPD was organized by the school's leadership class.

TUITION $

A Coquitlam student received an early Christmas present with the news that he will be receiving a $36,000 scholarship to Mount Allison University. Liam St. Louis received the Bell Achievement Award from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. The entrance scholarship is one of the top awards at the number-one nationally ranked university.St. Louis, a graduate of Gleneagle secondary school, is studying international relations and economics.
