The group representing parents of children in School District 43 is organizing a topical discussion on key areas of education and parenting.

Parent Orientation - the Conversation Series begins Wednesday, Oct. 9 and is hosted by the District Parents Advisory Council (DPAC 43).

The event is open to parents, educators, staff and community members and will feature four presentations, including:

Igniting the Hidden Curricula in Schools - Tobey Steeves

Kids Do Well When They Can - Tammy Dewar

Shifting Learning: What Did You Learn at School Today? - David Truss

Should We Control Kids or Empower Them? - Heidi Hass Gable

The conversation series runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) in the Gallery room at Winslow Centre, 1100 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam.
