On Monday, Oct. 22, you can celebrate Library Month by taking the Drop Everything and Read challenge at Port Moody Public Library.
Kids and adults who read for 20 minutes at PMPL will receive a kiss - a chocolate kiss. To be eligible, the reading must happen in library between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday.
Drop Everything and Read is a program developed by the BC Teacher Librarian Association to celebrate National School Library Day. Schools and public libraries across Canada will participate in a variety of reading programs to show their commitment to literacy.

Port Moody Public Library, located in the civic complex at 100 Newport Dr., is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
