Just because fall is in full swing - complete with cool days and wet weather - doesn't mean you can't enjoy the great outdoors.
Metro Vancouver Parks is hosting a fresh air hike Saturday at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam. Participants will take in the scenery as they hike through quiet marshes and moss-covered forests.
The hike will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be led by a park interpreter. Hikers should wear clothing suitable for the weather, and hiking boots or trail shoes are strongly recommended; they should also bring water and a snack.
The Oct. 27 hike is for people 15 years and older and costs $5.50 per person for adults, $3.25 for seniors and youths. Registration is required; call 604-432-6359.
