You can get some fresh air while exploring a popular Tri-City park this weekend.
A Metro Vancouver park interpreter will lead the Fresh Air Hike Saturday on the Diez Vistas Trail at Belcarra Regional Park.
This scenic and strenuous hike provides an excellent jumping off point to a network of trails that connect Buntzen Lake and Belcarra park. The hike runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through tall cedar and hemlock trees, and features stunning views at the top.
Hikers are urged to wear clothing suitable to the weather, and hiking boots or trail shoes are strongly recommended; you should also bring water and a lunch. The hike is for people 15 years and older, and costs $5.50 per person for adults, $3.25 for seniors and youths. Registration is required by calling 604-432-6359.
