STUDENT ART
Check out the artworks by Grade 12 students in School District 43, which are juried for the Emerging Talent 17 show at Coquitlam's Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way). ARCTIC PICS
Port Moody's Gallery Bistro (2411 Clarke St.) will host a "Northern Reflections" fundraiser from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. to offset the expedition costs of Jennifer Allott, a local student who last summer visited the Arctic with Students on Ice. The trip to Greenland and Baffin Island involved a number of students from around world, looking at the political, social and environmental aspects of the land.
