A Mother Goose program will be held at the Coquitlam Public Library City Centre branch for parents and their young ones (aged 18 months to three years old) whose first language is Cantonese. Presented by the library and SUCCESS, the free session at 1169 Pinetree Way starts today at 10:30 a.m. and runs every Friday morning until June 20. NO FUN

MUSIC MESSAGE

Several performers will be at the Unity Rocks Showcase Extravaganza for I Am Someone. Among those on stage will be Ria Jade Diy, 16, a singer, songwriter and musician who hosts her own TV show titled eveRIAthing on Shaw; Robot Mafia; Bacon Coma; Mike Stoltz; Dr. Brainstorm; Mortimer's Band; Nostrathomas; and Charlie Spittel. I Am Someone is spearheading a project to provide a text-messaging platform that links bullied kids with resources and counsellors. Stage 43's Seduced by Moonlight runs at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) this weekend and April 30 to May 3. All shows are at 8 p.m. except April 27 is a 2 p.m. matinee. BYE BYE FISHY

Help the Hyde Creek Watershed Society members release thousands of coho salmon smolts into Hyde Creek at the hatchery (3636 Coast Meridian Rd., Port Coquitlam) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Exhibits will be set up and enjoy a BBQ hot dog and salmon chowder. WALK FOR CHARITY

Lace up your runners for the annual Tri-Cities Scotiabank MS Walk at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody. There is a two-km route along the Port Moody Inlet or a five-km stretch to Old Orchard Park and back. Both trails are wheelchair, stroller and scooter accessible.
