Vancouver painter Laurie Papou launches her exhibit Perfect Geometry at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) today, with an opening reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Papou’s collection of six oil paintings on wood features highly detailed cross-sections of trees felled in Stanley Park during the 2006 windstorm, and intricate depictions of the irises of each of the artist’s family members.
