SPATIAL SALE

Spatial Art Studio (C-2415 Clarke St., PoMo) hosts its second annual Christmas pottery sale, featuring works by the Tri-City Potters, today from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information visit www.spatialartstudio.com or www.tricitypotters.ca.

PECHA KUCHA

Eleven inspiring speakers from right in the Tri-City's back yard are presenting at tonight's Pecha Kucha event at the Terry Fox Theatre (1260 Riverwood Gate, PoCo), including a musical engineer, paralympian, abstract artist and a pro wrestler presenting 20 slides at 20 seconds each. How's that for a line-up? Tickets are $12/$15 at www.terryfoxtheatre.org. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and show starts at 7:30 p.m.

INDIE THEATRE

When That I Was, a solo show winning rave reviews wherever it plays, sees Christopher Hunt perform more than 25 characters, dabbling in William Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth and just about anything in between. MARKETPLACE

The Blackberry Artist's Society Christmas Marketplace is in full swing at the Port Moody Arts Centre (2425 St. Johns St.), featuring visual arts, jewelry, ceramics, textile arts, woodworking and gift cards. The Marketplace is open to Dec. 22 during special holiday hours (Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.) and members will be hosting demo events on Saturday afternoons to Dec. 20, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Visit www.blackberrygiftshop.ca for more information.

Models from the 2015 Hall of Flame calendar will be at London Drugs at Coquitlam Centre from 1 to 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring a camera and a copy for the fire fighters to sign. Need we say more?

CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE

It may still be November but it's never too early to start your holiday shopping. Make it a year for giving local, handmade artisan gifts from the Place des Arts Christmas Boutique (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam). The boutique is open daily during PdA hours, until Dec. 19. lIGHT THE HALL

Coquitlam jumps into the Christmas season with its family-friendly Light the Hall in the plaza outside city hall (3003 Burlington Dr.) from 2 to 5 p.m. Get a free photo with Santa, check out the photo booth and enjoy plenty of music, activities, cookies and hot chocolate.

The Winter Farmers Market is now a weekly affair, so head to the Port Moody rec centre (300 Ioco Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick up winter produce, crafts and goodies.

Looking for some lovely handmade items for your holiday list? Look to the Christmas Bazaar at the Glen Pine Pavilion (1200 Glen Pine Crt., Coquitlam), featuring crafts, quilts and more from 1 to 5 p.m.

FAMILY DAY

Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) focuses on mini art for this month's Family Day from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., when the whole family can check out the Positively Petite miniature exhibition as well as Suburbia by Sad Magazine and Mementos by Julie Dives. Meet some of the artists and then get busy with some cool hands-on activities for all ages, including making tiny easels for tiny art, wee dolls from clothespins and yarn and lanterns for PdA's main holiday event, A Lantern Affair (on Dec. 6).
