From 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. today, you can hear inspirational words from the TED 2014 speakers in Vancouver via a webcast at the Coquitlam and Port Moody public libraries. Both Coquitlam branches at City Centre and Poirier are showing the lecturers; they are also projected in the Inlet Theatre at PoMo city hall (100 Newport Dr.). ARTIST'S CHOICE

The first exhibit by the Port Moody Art Association at the Port Moody Arts Centre opened this week and will continue until April 10. The show, titled Artist's Choice, features 66 paintings from 30 member artists in the city's largest art organization. PMAC (2425 St. John's St.) is open Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m. Visit pomoarts.ca.

POLISH FEST

Polonez Tri-City Polish Association marks its 25th year by showcasing the artistic talent of its members at Port Moody city hall (100 Newport Dr.). The official opening of the exhibit, titled Art Fusion, is from 2 to 4 p.m. in the galleria and includes work from Hanna Barbara Berwid, Maria Marcinek, Tomasz Cetnarowski and Elizabeth Dykosky. Among the dignitaries who will be at the reception will be Port Coquitlam Mayor Greg Moore and Linda Reimer, MLA for Port Moody-Coquitlam. The display is up until March 29.

HAPPY NOWRUZ
