Students at Port Moody's Heritage Woods secondary (1300 David Ave.) will host their 10th annual seniors' Christmas tea at 1 p.m. Seniors are invited to enjoy a social afternoon with the teens and taste treats, view entertainment and have a chance to win prizes. Call 604--461-8679.

ON THE SEVENTH DAY

The city of Port Coquitlam's 12 Days of Christmas continues today with a screening of the movie Elf, in the lobby of the PoCo recreation complex (2150 Wilson Ave.), starting at 6:45 p.m. during a public skate. Hot cocoa and treats will be provided at no cost to participants.

GOT THE BLUES?

A second show has been added for the Summer Sundays Concerts' A Port Moody Blues Christmas, featuring Nadine States, Joani Bye, Murray Porter, Don Alder, Steve Daily and Incognito. SWINGIN'

Calgary crooner and pianist Jesse Peters will jazz up Coquitlam's Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree) at 8 p.m. with Celtic fiddler Lizzy Hoyt for a Christmas show, Strings and Swing, Our Favourite Things. SCULPTURES

ON THE EIGHTH DAY

ART UNVEILING

The city of Port Moody will show its commissioned carvings of two traditional Central Coast Salish house posts by Squamish Nation artist Jody Broomfield. The public art installation, which is part of PoMo's centennial celebrations with the project funding from Heritage Canada, will happen at 2:30 p.m. at city hall (100 Newport Dr.). CUTE AS A BUTTON

Blackberry Artists' Society president Sarah Ronald invites craftmakers to a workshop at 2 p.m. at the Port Moody Arts Centre (2425 St. John's St.) to make buttons in aid of Share Family and Community Services. Participants are asked to bring a personal photograph or favourite Christmas card, and Ronald will provide the expertise and supplies to turn it into a gift topper or stocking stuffer. VIEW OF POCO

The opening reception for An Artist's View of Port Coquitlam - an exhibit to mark the city's 100th year, with PoCo artists Michael King, Catherine Dumaine and Denise Maxwell - is from 2 to 4 p.m. at Leigh Square Community Arts Village (behind PoCo city hall). CHARITY SHOW

Hear the Port Coquitlam musical duo Paliatsky at a dinner show to support the charity Bullying Ends Here. Created by RCMP officer Tad Milmine, the non-profit group helps to inform youth about bullying to prevent it. Also featuring the sounds of Norine Braun and Wayne Lambert, the event at Joe's Atlantic Grill (2410 St. John's St., Port Moody) starts at 7 p.m. Tickets at $25 includes chowder, fish and chips and a shot of Screech.
