Send them to Westhill Pool (203 Westhill Pl., PoMo), where there will be a DJ spinning tunes, a barbecue and no parents from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $2 for youth in grades 6 to 12. For family-friendly fun, head to Westhill or Rocky Point Pool from 3 to 5 p.m., where staff lead games for all ages.

KICK OFF
Bring the whole family to Kick for a Cure, a Michael Cuccione Foundation fundraiser for childhood cancer research. WONDERS OF NATURE
An opening reception for a new exhibit is at the Gallery Bistro (2411 Clarke St., PoMo) runs from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Artist Sonia V. COUNTRY FAIR
Visit an old time country fair from noon to 4 p.m. at Epona Stable (3323 Devon Rd., PoCo) and get up close with some rescued Standardbred horses in honour of the 2015 Canada Standardbred Horse Day. There will be mini-tractor rides for kids, visits with Hamlet the rescued pot-bellied pig, a silent auction and entertainment. Funds support the care of rescued Standardbred horses. MUSIC IN THE PARK
The Leigh Square bandshell (by PoCo city hall) comes alive with the sound of Bacal, featuring songwriter and guitarist Jimfre Bacal, Meghan Engel on violin, cello and vocals and Babak Hazrati on guitar. Expect to hear a unique twist on on folk, blues and indie tunes, from 2 to 4 p.m.
