The 35th annual Vancouver Toy Run to the PNE kicks off from the parking lot at the Coquitlam Centre mall (2929 Barnet Hwy.) at 10 a.m. As an entry fee, motorcyclists are asked to bring a new toy, wrapped in plastic, or a cash donation to help the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. SPOOKY
Head over to Ioco's lawn bowling green (corner of Ioco Road and 1st Avenue) for the old township's annual Ghost Town Day festival from noon to 4 p.m. The free event will include entertainment from the Metro Vancouver Firefighters' Band as well as line dancers and bluegrass music from Five on a String and a barbershop quartet called Antique Gold. As well, there will be pony rides, a balloon twister and a magician, displays, crafts and skits about Port Moody's history by Rebel Haunt Theatre.
HERITAGE TOUR
