Take a walk tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon and raise awareness for elder abuse.
The Tri-Cities' Community Response Network, which is made up of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Tri-Cities Mental Health, Communities Embracing Restorative Action Society, Share Family and Community Services, Coquitlam RCMP, Community Volunteer Connections and more, is hosting the walk on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The walk begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Ridgeway Community Police office (1059 Ridgeway Ave., Coquitlam) and will go down to Austin Avenue, east to Gatensbury and then turn around back to Austin for a stop at MLA Selina Robinson's office at about noon.
Refreshments will be served back at the Ridgeway office following participants' return.
