SUMMER CRAFTS

Families with little ones can stop by Mackin House Museum (1116 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) for a summer craft morning, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Check out the train station and caboose from the Fraser Mills sawmill days, listen to stories and try out a craft.

The event is suitable to ages three and up. To register, you're encouraged to visit coquitlamheritage.ca.

ART SHOWS

Take a walk through the gallery at PoMoArts (2425 St. Johns St., Port Moody) to see the three new solo shows: Coastal Spirit by Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki; Gnomes of Port Moody by David Carey and Michel LeBlanc; and We Can Ask For More by Serisa Fitz-James. Visit pomoarts.ca for more.

VIRTUAL CONCERT

Tune into the city of Coquitlam’s summer concert series that was presented last month at Dr. Charles Best Secondary.

Today, at 5 p.m., the city starts streaming the show by John Welsh & Los Valientes via coquitlam.ca/summerconcerts.

LIVE MUSIC

Vancouver chanteuse Dawn Pemberton teams up with Gavin Youngash for two funk and soul shows at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam), at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Her performances are part of the venue’s Speakeasy Sessions. Tickets are $70 for a table for two guests; $125 for a table for four.
