Today's parents need to understand the importance of the internet to their children's lives and how to manage it.
To help them with this task, the District Parents Advisory Council is hosting a hands-on workshop with parents, led by educator and School District 43 principal Dave Sands.
Sands, who is the district's Energy Manager, but has consulted extensively on issues such as online safety, parenting 21st century youth, and fearless leading and learning using technology, will be leading the discussion on "Parenting The Net Generation - What makes our kids Click."
The workshop will be held Monday, April 22 from 7-9 p.m. in the Gallery Room at Winslow Centre in Coquitlam.
Parents are encouraged to bring their laptops, tablets, and other devices and log in to learn:

Registration is required at http://dpac43davesands.eventbrite.ca (this is the preferred method) or by phone (604-939-3690) leaving your name, phone number and number of people attending.
