Castle Park elementary school in the Citadel Heights subdivision is looking for funding from the annual Aviva Community Fund. Aviva will be handing out $1 million in grants for 2013 for community projects.

A school of approximately 350 students is home to a variety of children with special needs, from autism and learning disabilities to mobility challenges and developmental delays. Castle Park school's current playground is inaccessible to some of them so its parent advisory council is fundraising to change that.

Another local non-profit organization is also seeking support in the Aviva competition: Higher Ground Wellness Society. To vote for the Higher Ground Wellness Society, visit here.
