The B.C. Cancer Foundation is hoping for a dry month on many fronts in February.
Its annual Lose the Booze challenge asks participants go all 28 days in the month without alcohol to raise money for research at BC Cancer.
Fundraisers can set up an online fundraising page to get friends and family to support them is being dry in February, at least as far as liquor is concerned. There is no minimum amount to participate, although the foundation suggests a goal of $200. The online registration at losethebooze.ca costs $28 to cover everything the foundation needs to support the program meaning all donations go directly to support the research.
