A primer for seniors travelling on transit will be presented at Coquitlam’s Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave.) on Thursday (Feb. 7) morning.

The two-hour TravelSmart for Seniors session (10 a.m. to noon) will demonstrate what transit options are available, how to plan a trip and what can be done to be safe and confident while using transit.

It will cover where to buy, how to load and how to use Compass cards as well as transit tools and resources such as Trip Planner, Next Bus, and Alerts.

The presentation by TransLink staff is for beginner and experienced users of public transit. Pre-registration can be done online at coquitlam.ca/dogwood, by calling 604-927-4386 or in person at a Coquitlam recreation facility.
