Songs plus: Songs, music and crafts for people with developmental challenges are part of a fun program hosted by community services librarian Teresa Rehman in the Nancy Bennett Room of the Poirier branch from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on the following Wednesdays: Feb. 25, March 25 and April 29. Chinese New Year concert: On Feb 25 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the City Centre branch (Rooms 136 and 137), members of the Arts Musical Studio will perform traditional Chinese music to welcome the arrival of spring and the Year of the Sheep. Tax strategies: Learn to understand Canada's tax system and minimize what you need to pay. Next Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., a CPA will be at the library to discuss topics such as tax laws, tax credits, deductions, OAS clawbacks and more. Space is limited, so call 604-469-4577 to register.
Pro-D party: Kids aged five to 12 years can join librarians on Friday, Feb. 20th at 2 p.m. for an afternoon family movie matinee in the ParkLane room. This month's movie is Mr. Peabody and Sherman - drop in, no registration required.

Service Canada youth programs: On Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 6 to 7 p.m., you can join a citizens services specialist from Service Canada at Fox Library to discover the many federal programs available for people ages 15 to 30. You will hear about the Federal Student Work Experience program, Canada Student loans and grants, Apprenticeship Incentive and Completion Grants, and the new Canada Apprenticeship Loan.
